The CME mission of the Carolina Ear Research Institute is to educate Otolaryngologists, Primary Care Physicians, Neurotologists, and Neurosurgeons in the areas of hearing health, chronic ear disease, vestibular dysfunction, Cochlear implants, hearing aids, facial nerve dysfunction, and otolaryngology.

Special Fall Event

Stryker Temporal Bone Surgical Dissection Resident Course

October 24-27, 2018

This course is designed for otolaryngology residents involved in the care of patients with hearing loss and chronic otitis media. Faculty will present updated information and instruction pertaining to surgical techniques used in the management of chronic ear disease and otosclerosis. This will include ossicular chain reconstruction, mastoid surgery, and facial nerve management in chronic ear surgery and stapedectomy techniques. The course will consist of didactic lectures, video sessions, and hands-on temporal bone dissections.

Camp Woodbine Autumn Day Camp

October 13, 2018

Camp Woodbine is a camp for deaf and hearing impaired children and their families. The camp provides socialization, language stimulation and communication opportunities in a safe, fun and convenient environment. In addition to the fun activities families have the opportunity to interact with each other, share experiences and exchange information.

ENT Update Meeting: Journal Club Roundtable Discussion

Local and regional otolaryngologists meet during certain times of the year for a journal club roundtable discussion focused on new and innovative journal articles in the industry regarding areas of hearing health, chronic ear disease, vestibular dysfunction, Cochlear implants, hearing aids, facial nerve injury, and otolaryngology.
